The House has done its job. Not once, but repeatedly. House members have passed the SAVE America Act and attached its protections to must-pass legislation, over and over, because they understand something the Senate forgets: only American citizens should vote in American elections. The bill has been sitting in the United States Senate for months, and yet a majority of senators want to go on vacation.

And that is exactly what they are about to do.

In a matter of days, the Senate gavels out for recess. Senators will board planes, head home, hold their photo ops, and send you fundraising emails about how hard they are fighting for election integrity. A brand new national survey conducted by McLaughlin & Associates from July 15 to 21, 2026, among 1,000 general election voters, found that 82 percent say only U.S. citizens should be casting ballots for President, Senate, and House. Seventy-eight percent say proof of citizenship should be required to register to vote. Seventy-eight percent say show a photo ID at the polls. These are not Republican numbers. They are American numbers, with majorities of Democrats, independents, and even Harris voters in agreement. The left’s voter suppression talking point has collapsed. There is no legislature in this country with a clearer mandate on any issue, and the Senate is preparing to leave town without acting on it anyway.
