The Senate is about to leave Washington for the August recess, and H.R. 7008, the Stop Insider Trading Act, already passed by the U.S. House, is still waiting for a vote.

H.R. 7008 bans stock trading by members of Congress and puts voter ID into federal law.

I am asking you for one more push to get this bill passed before the Senate leaves town.

Call the Capitol switchboard at 202-224-3121 and ask to be connected to your United States Senator. Then call back and ask for your other Senator. Both offices need to hear from you.

Tell each office this: “Do not leave Washington for the August recess until the Senate passes the Stop Insider Trading Act, H.R. 7008”

A law to bar members of Congress, their spouses, and their dependent children from buying individual stocks while in office and to require voter ID to vote, are both long overdue.

It puts real election security into federal law: photo identification to vote. This is what election integrity looks like!
